Brazil
Our work in Brazil began with our involvement as presenters at the The Behavior Web’s 2nd International Conference in Manaus. The event featured national and international speakers offering presentations in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and its application through the theme “ABA for a Better World: Environment, Relationships, and World.” It was at this conference that we decided to partner with The Behavior Web to provide sustainable support to help further the dissemination of behavioral analysis internationally. Out of this partnership came the Global Innovators ABA Scholarship.
The Global Innovators ABA Scholarship offers greater access and equity for professional development in ABA to Portuguese speaking practitioners. Insight will offer funding awards of various amounts to pay for The Behavior Web courses. This partnership is aimed to increase opportunities for students and practitioners of behavior analysis. Insight continues to collaborate with the The Behavior Web by participating in trainings and offering workshops on various topics in behavior analysis, mental health, and education. We work closely with The Behavior Web to ensure that all trainings are developed with cultural awareness and understanding. This is only the beginning, and there is so much more on the horizon.
The Behavior Web was founded in March 2016 as an online school offering accredited continuing education courses for BCBAs. It has expanded into a consulting firm offering customized training for organizations, both online and in-person. Since its inception, The Behavior Web has served over three hundred students, provided supervision and consulting to a variety of professionals, and provided in-person training to hospitals and schools in New York State, Arizona, and Brazil.
Based in Massapequa Park, NY, The Behavior Web is an organization that seeks to improve the quality of healthcare services, especially those that do not involve behavioral interventions. Through training and supervision, online and in-person consulting, The Behavior Web is able to reach regions where behavioral interventions are lacking, both in all 50 states and abroad.
