Purpose: Insight Global Initiative has partnered with the The Behavior Web (our organization of choice in Brazil) to offer greater access and equity for professional development in Applied Behavior Analysis to Portuguese speaking practitioners. Insight will provide funding in the form of scholarships to pay for The Behavior Web courses. This collaboration is aimed to increase opportunities for students and practitioners of behavior analysis who serve to advance, develop, and/or disseminate the science of applied behavior analysis internationally.
Award Amount: Award amounts vary based price of the course or training. The scholarship provides a financial award to be applied toward tuition, fees, or research-related expenses. The Behavior Web training includes certifications, continuing education credits (CEUs), professional development, and supervision. Courses range from $15 to $500 and are offered any-time, both live and prerecorded.
Eligibility Criteria:
Enrollment: Applicants must be currently enrolled or has clear intent to enroll into a specific The Behavior Web training (certifications, course, professional development CEUs, and supervision).
Financial Need: Demonstration of significant financial need is required. Applicants must provide documentation such as a statement of financial circumstances.
Selection Criteria:
Financial Need: Priority will be given to students who demonstrate substantial financial challenges in continuing their education.
Training Potential: The selection committee will evaluate the originality, feasibility, and potential impact of the desired training or training project.
Access to Education: Applicants who have less access to behavior analysis programs and professional development, due to economical or geographical circumstances, will be prioritized over those with greater access.
Application Process:
Complete the Application Form: Available on the scholarship website.
Submit Financial Documentation: Provide necessary financial need documentation.
Letters of Recommendation: Include two letters of recommendation from academic or professional references who can speak to your commitment to the field of ABA.
Personal Statement: Write a personal statement (up to 750 words) explaining your passion for Applied Behavior Analysis, your career goals, and how this scholarship will help you achieve them.
Deadline: All application materials are submitted on a rolling basis. Please give at least a one-month lead time for the intended course when applying for the scholarship (i.e., do not apply for a course that begins within a month of submitting your application).
Notification: Recipients will be notified via email. Insight will notify the The Behavior Web of scholarship recipients and will work with them to distribute funds and register student into course.
