Occupational Therapist
The Occupational Therapist implements occupational therapy programs and provides occupational therapy treatments to students to facilitate increased independence and functioning, under the supervision of the Director of Education.
Responsibilities:
Follow an individualized treatment program with a consultation to school staff in areas of Occupational Therapy
Collaborate with Intervention Specialist on transition programming
Provide results of the evaluation and treatment objectives to parents and staff
Complete all documentation as required by the fiscal intermediary, within the designated time frame
Implement the treatment program based on evaluative results
Monitor student’s response to treatment and alter the treatment plan as needed
Develop, maintain, and monitor appropriate use of the sensory area
Maintain appropriate and timely documentation for all students treated
Report to Director of Education
Maintain Occupational Therapist certification
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, continuing education, and/or training offered by Insight
Communicate with parents in a professional and timely manner
Maintain an acceptable attendance record and is punctual
Required Qualifications:
Occupational Therapy License
Two (2) plus years successful experience under the direct documented supervision of an Occupational Therapist and certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
Specific experience working with students with high management needs
Background check and current fingerprinting
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year
Location: Berea, OH (Ability to commute/relocate)
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am - 4pm (8 hr shift; 40 hours/week)
Work Year: August – June (10 Months/40 weeks); Required ESY Summer Program
