Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) / Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) - Insight Academy

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) / Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) is responsible for implementing behavior analytic and evidence-based strategies and practices. The BCBA/BCaBA supports, trains, and supervises Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and behavioral support. Reports to Executive Clinical Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, coordinate, and implement applied behavior analysis services and behavior interventions plans for general education and special education students with a wide range of behaviors in a variety of classroom environments.

  • Provide support and professional learning opportunities to school staff in the appropriate use of behavior analysis methodologies and intervention techniques.

  • Provide and help develop behavioral services at all three RTI tier levels.

  • Conduct observations and collect data for Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and development of Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP)

  • Assist and train staff in the implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)

  • Provide direct intervention services as needed to students who exhibit interfering behaviors and provide support and professional learning for staff on BIP and IEP goals.

  • Provide clinical supervision of Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBT) as needed.

  • Attend meetings relating to student behavior and scope of practice as needed.

  • Assist with successful student transitions for students who are transition to or from an alternative placement.

  • Collect, record, and report daily data on student ABA programming and interfering behavior(s).

  • Demonstrate instructional control with students.

  • Participate in required crisis prevention strategies and restraint procedures training

  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, continuing education, and/or training offered by Insight.

  • Maintain BCBA/BCaBA licensure.

  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record and is punctual.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field

  • BCBA/BCaBA Certification

  • COBA Certification (for BCBA)

  • Specific experience working with students with high management needs

  • Background check and current fingerprinting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience working as BCBA/BCaBA in a school setting

Salary: $76,440.00 - $98,280.00 per year

Location: Berea, OH (Ability to commute/relocate)

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am - 4pm (40 hours/week)

Work Year: August – June (10 Months/40 weeks); Required ESY Summer Program
